An ECG smartwatch (also called an EKG watch) records a short electrical tracing of your heart rhythm from the wrist during an active recording. On many wearable models, you touch a sensor with a fingertip and remain still while the watch captures a single-lead style tracing. That can be useful for personal rhythm awareness and for keeping a record you may choose to discuss with a healthcare professional.
A wrist ECG is not the same as a clinical 12-lead ECG, and a consumer watch cannot diagnose a heart condition on its own. If you want to understand that distinction before choosing a model, read our single-lead ECG smartwatch guide and the AFib Health Guide. The American Heart Association also explains how a clinical electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) is used in medical care.
The REXQU range covers different priorities. The CoreX Pro combines wrist ECG with heart-rate tracking and cuffless BP wellness estimates; the AetherX adds built-in GPS and temperature tracking; the CardioSense emphasizes a large display; the CardioCall adds Bluetooth calling; and the screenless PulseBand offers ECG capability without a display. For a broader comparison, use the Best ECG Smartwatch buying guide. If blood-pressure wellness tracking is your priority, compare the blood pressure smartwatch collection, or browse all health smartwatches.
REXQU watches are consumer wellness devices, not medical devices. Wrist ECG recordings are for personal reference and trend awareness and should not replace a clinical ECG, diagnosis, treatment or professional medical advice.
A wrist ECG is a genuinely interesting piece of consumer technology and one of the easiest to misread. It is worth understanding exactly what the trace represents before you buy, because the honest version is still a good reason to own one.
A clinical ECG uses twelve leads placed around the torso to view the heart from many angles. A watch closes a single circuit between your wrist and the fingertip you rest on the crown or bezel, giving one lead. That is enough to show rhythm and rate. It is not enough to assess a heart attack, and no wrist device should ever be used to rule one out. Chest pain means emergency services, not a watch reading.
Irregular rhythms come and go, which is exactly why they are missed in a clinic appointment. A device you wear lets you capture a trace at the moment something feels wrong. The American Heart Association describes atrial fibrillation as an irregular heartbeat that raises stroke risk, and being able to record and show a clinician what your heart did on Tuesday evening is real value. What a smartwatch can and cannot tell you about AFib goes further.
Dry skin, a loose strap, a moving arm or a light fingertip all produce noise that looks like a problem and is not. Sit still, rest your forearm on a table, keep firm contact for the full recording, and repeat the reading before drawing any conclusion from it.
The FDA draws this line explicitly in its General Wellness: Policy for Low Risk Devices guidance: products for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, unrelated to diagnosing or treating disease, sit outside device regulation. REXQU watches are wellness products. They record traces for you to keep and share with a clinician; they do not diagnose, and their output should never drive a medication or treatment decision.
ECG rarely travels alone — depending on the model you can add satellite positioning, calling, water resistance or a screenless form factor. See ECG with GPS, ECG with Bluetooth calling, waterproof ECG models, screenless ECG bands, or the full ECG smartwatch guide.

Yes. ECG and EKG are two abbreviations used for electrocardiogram. In smartwatch shopping, “ECG watch” and “EKG watch” generally refer to the same type of wrist rhythm-recording feature.
There is no single best model for everyone. Choose by the other features you value: the CoreX Pro combines ECG with heart-rate and BP wellness tracking; the AetherX adds GPS; the CardioSense emphasizes a large display; and the CardioCall adds Bluetooth calling. See the ECG smartwatch buying guide for the full comparison.
Yes. The REXQU PulseBand is a screenless band with an ECG sensor plus heart-rate and HRV tracking and other wellness features. Check the product page for current battery and app specifications.
Many REXQU ECG models also provide cuffless blood-pressure wellness estimates, but features vary by model. Wrist BP estimates are not a replacement for a validated upper-arm cuff when you need a clinical measurement. Compare the blood pressure smartwatch collection if that feature is a priority.
Look for a readable display, simple controls and the communication or safety features the wearer actually needs. Models such as CardioSense, IntelliFit and Chronex serve different priorities. See the Smartwatches for Seniors collection for more options.
Many REXQU ECG models support both iPhone and Android through companion apps, but compatibility and app requirements vary by model. Check the individual product page before buying. REXQU models in this collection are sold without a required monthly REXQU subscription.
No consumer smartwatch should be treated as a stand-alone diagnosis. A wrist ECG can record rhythm information that may be useful for personal awareness, but interpretation and diagnosis belong with a qualified healthcare professional. Read our AFib Health Guide for a fuller explanation.
