Built for Out There. Tough by Design.
TrailGuard is a tactical smartwatch in the useful sense: instruments that keep working when the phone has given up. The TrailGuard packs a real-time compass, altitude readings and GPS track sync into a Gorilla Glass, IP68 body — with heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and Bluetooth calls along for the ride. Two straps in every box.
✓ Free shipping ✓ 30-day money-back guarantee ✓ Works with iPhone & Android
Six reasons the TrailGuard earns its place on your wrist — on the hill and off it.
A real-time compass and altitude readings keep you oriented when the signal — and the path — disappear.
Sync your route from your phone and see distance, pace and the trail you actually took.
24-hour heart monitoring with on-demand blood oxygen and stress checks.
Answer or reject calls from your wrist when your hands are on the handlebars.
From trail runs to open-water prep — pick a mode and let it track the numbers.
Waterproof to IP68 with a Gorilla Glass face that shrugs off rocks and rain.

Under the CNC zinc shell sits a blood-pressure monitor: take a cuff-free reading on the summit or the sofa, and watch your trends build in the app. A rugged watch that keeps an eye on the number your doctor always asks about. Wellness insight, not a medical device.

Under the rugged shell, the TrailGuard quietly tracks your heart rate around the clock, checks blood oxygen and stress on demand, and scores your sleep every night — all charted in the free RDFit app.
A real-time compass and altitude and air-pressure readings live one swipe away — so a wrong turn on a new trail is a detour, not a drama. Sync your GPS track afterwards and see exactly where you went.
Navigation aids for recreation — always carry a map on serious routes.

One tap gives you heart rate and blood oxygen in seconds — so you know when to push on and when to take the view in a little longer.
Designed for awareness and conversation with your physician — not for diagnosis.
Wear it to bed and wake up to the whole story — how long you slept, how deep it went, and how tonight stacked up against the rest of the week. Fixing sleep starts with seeing it.

Walking the dog, carrying shopping, elbow-deep in the garden — when the phone rings, just talk to your watch. Built-in speaker and mic keep the conversation going while your hands stay busy.

A CNC-machined zinc body, Gorilla Glass over the 1.96-inch display and IP68 waterproofing mean the TrailGuard takes the knocks so you do not have to think about it. There is even a waterproof bag in the box.

“Two dogs, driving rain, and I can still see who is calling without touching my phone. It has been soaked a dozen times and does not care.”
“The compass got me back to the car park when the fog rolled in. That alone paid for it.”
“I run at dawn and glance at my heart rate on the fly. Battery goes well over a week between charges.”

Tactical is a look on most watches and a set of instruments on a few. Here is which parts are real, and how to use them.
A magnetic compass and a barometric altimeter need no phone, no signal and no satellites. That is the entire practical argument for a tactical smartwatch: when the phone is flat, wet or out of coverage, these still tell you which way is out and whether the weather is turning. The National Weather Service explains what a falling barometer signals.
Geomagnetic compasses are thrown off by vehicle bodies, steel structures and phone magnets, and they read badly when tilted. Flat, clear of ironwork, then trust the bearing. Calibrate it after a long journey.
TrailGuard records where you went and syncs it to the app afterwards. That is different from turn-by-turn navigation on the wrist — useful for reviewing a route, retracing your steps and logging distance. The official US government page on GPS accuracy covers what to expect under tree cover. See multi-satellite GPS.
IP68 is about dust and water ingress; Gorilla Glass is about the scratch and impact that actually ends most watches. Both matter and neither means indestructible — the IEC explanation of IP ratings sets out exactly what IP68 certifies, and it is not swimming. Our rugged buying guide has the rest.
The National Park Service hiking safety guidance matters more than any instrument on your wrist. Tell someone your route, carry water, and be willing to turn round. The watch is there to log the day, not to make it safe. See watches for worksites for the everyday-tough use case.
More from the range: rugged smartwatches · GPS smartwatches · smartwatches with an altimeter · all health smartwatches. Health statements follow our editorial and research standards.
Rugged describes the case; tactical should describe the instruments. A genuinely tactical smartwatch carries tools that function independently of your phone and the network — a magnetic compass, a barometric altimeter, an offline track record. TrailGuard has all three, plus the IP68 and Gorilla Glass build to survive the conditions where you would need them. A thick bezel and a black strap on their own are styling.
Yes. The compass is magnetic and the altimeter reads air pressure at the watch itself, so both work with no phone, no mobile signal and no satellite fix. Hold the watch flat and keep it clear of vehicles and steel structures, which distort magnetic readings. That independence is the point of having them.
Android 4.4+ and iOS 10+ over Bluetooth. The free FitCloudPro companion app stores your readings, sleep reports and trends.
Never. Heart rate, blood pressure, SpO₂, sleep, calling and breathing training are all included, free for life.
Treat them as a wellness companion — excellent for spotting trends and starting conversations with your doctor, not a replacement for medical equipment.
The watch pairs with your phone and uses its own speaker and microphone, so you can answer, talk and hang up without touching the phone.
A 300mAh battery covers roughly a week of typical use — and well over two weeks on standby — with a snap-on magnetic charger for top-ups.
